Army Building & Synergies

11 min read

Core Composition Principles

A balanced army has frontline tanks, backline damage, and at least one answer to cavalry and monsters. The exact ratio depends on your faction — Sanguine Court can skip tanks with expendable chaff, while Deepstone Hold needs fewer units overall.

  • Frontline: 2-3 infantry units to hold the center
  • Ranged: 1-2 archer or gunpowder units for DPS
  • Cavalry: 1 flanking unit to punish exposed archers
  • Monster/Elite: 1 high-tier unit as your ace card
  • Flex slot: Fill based on upcoming battle type

Faction Synergy Bonuses

Sakura Dynasty gains +20% all stats with a pure army — never mix units. Raven Host death buffs reward keeping expendable units in front. Sanguine Court Raise Dead means you can afford to lose chaff aggressively.

Gear synergies stack with faction abilities. The Sanguine Chalice (+1 Raise Dead unit) on a Morvayne run creates an unstoppable snowball. Raven Feather Charm extends death buff duration for longer battles.

Common Build Archetypes

Shieldwall + Volley (Iron Legion, Deepstone Hold): Infantry holds center, ranged shreds from behind. Cavalry protects flanks.

Deathball (Raven Host): Push aggressively, let units die for buffs, overwhelm with escalating damage.

Attrition Machine (Sanguine Court): Expend chaff freely, Raise Dead replenishes army, elite units finish fights.

Blitz (Taelindor Forest): Cavalry flanks immediately, archers focus fire, end battles before losses mount.
